GrihaSukhan has been working for many years with UNDP-UPPR, EU, CARE, and various government projects, providing training to underprivileged and marginalized women in seven different sectors for over 15 years. During this time, around 15,000 women received training, followed by a one-year individual follow-up program for each participant.
In collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), GrihaSukhan arranged training programs on food processing and beautification for women who had been victims of trafficking or were at risk of being trafficked abroad. After completing the training, many of them were employed in households in Gulshan and Banani areas, with continuous follow-up support for one year.
Through the Swiss Contact (Skillful Project) of Switzerland, GrihaSukhan provided skill development training to approximately 15,000 disadvantaged women over a period of 10 years. Additionally, the organization has worked with World Vision for 15 years, training more than 2,500 women.
Rima Zulfiquer has proven that one skilled entrepreneur can create thousands of new entrepreneurs, something she considers the greatest achievement of her life.
When an entrepreneur produces a product, the biggest challenge becomes marketing and sales. To address this, GrihaSukhan has organized numerous local and international fairs, helping women entrepreneurs showcase and sell their products. From local fairs to international exhibitions in countries such as India (Delhi), Italy, Switzerland, England, America, Karachi, Nepal, and Malaysia — GrihaSukhan has successfully presented Bangladeshi handmade products to the global stage.
Through local, Eid, Boishakhi, and Spring fairs, GrihaSukhan’s entrepreneurs have become self-reliant by selling their own creations. One empowered woman entrepreneur has, in turn, created employment for 10 others and that stands as the greatest success of GrihaSukhan.”**
